"Leftovers" is a series of small abstract paintings that are each inspired by one of my larger reality-based works. Each small painting is created using only “leftover” paint from the larger painting and is meant to be an abstract representation of the mood of the original piece.
"Touch" is inspired by "Five More Minutes."
Joanne Stowell is a professional artist from Central MA. Although primarily an oil painter, Joanne also has experience with drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and installation art. Her most recent artwork consists mainly of contemporary realistic paintings with the theme of an unfiltered view of reality. Her paintings are inspired by her daily life and every piece tells a story. Joanne has an MFA in Visual Arts from Lesley University College of Art and Design and she has had artwork in numerous exhibitions nationwide.
